ERM CVS was invited to participate at the Center for Offshore Safety (COS) Forum held in Houston, US. The COS is an industry sponsored organization focused on HSE on the U.S. outer continental shelf whose members include most of the Gulf of Mexico’s (GoM) operators. You can read more about who they are here. COS promotes the highest level of HSE for offshore drilling and operations through leadership and effective Management Systems required by upstream operators within the GoM to continuously improve their performance.
ERM CVS is an accredited Audit Service Provider by COS to audit offshore activities for Safety & Environmental Management system (SEMS) standards. In October 2014 we established our first geographical hub in Houston in order to better support our O&G clients based in the city and to realize the immense 3rd party assurance opportunities that exist there. During that time we have secured >US$1M of sales with energy clients including large, medium, and small players in the GoM and now have a team of eight full time based in Houston.
This year’s COS Forum was attended by delegates from Alaska, Mexico, Western Africa, and China where local regulators are contemplating adopting Safety & Environmental Management System (SEMS) standards in their Regions.
