Carrizal Mining is seeking assessment pursuant to the Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (IRMA) for their mine near Zimapan, in the state of Hidalgo, Mexico. The IRMA Standard for Responsible Mining v.1.0 specifies objectives and requirements for environmentally and socially responsible mining practices. Interested or affected stakeholders are invited to be part of the audit process and to submit written comment on the environmental and social performance of the Carrizal mine (in particular, how the performance of the mine site compares with the IRMA Standard for Responsible Mining). Stakeholders may also contact ERM CVS if they are interested in being interviewed as part of the assessment process. When possible, interviews with local stakeholders will be scheduled to take place during the dates of the on-site audit. Where this is not feasible, telephonic interviews will be conducted.
